Reporting to the Quality Manager, the main purpose of this post is to manage Quality Control activities within the business ensuring that all finished product, bulk, raw material, and packaging components are in total compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications and standards. The post holder will be expected to: • Manage the day-to-day activities of all Quality Control departments • Ensure effective allocation of resources and scheduling of activities to provide an accurate and timely service to the business. • Investigate consumer complaints requested by QA. • Support the operations team in carrying out investigations into internal non-conformities or quality issues. • Deputise for the Quality Manager if required. • Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements • Effectively manage the H&S risk assessment and complete them on time • Effectively manage the department budget and drive for cost reduction.
